Hour an half drive thru scenic mountains of Alaska to trail head where we will pass highway and glaciers ( great photo opportunity! ) Once we are at the trail head we will continue up thru passes and down thru the streams to a working gold mine where you have the option to pan for gold or dig for fossils. Moose and bear are some of the great wildlife we encounter along the way. Lunch is held atop one of the most scenic viewpoints around. Weather permitting.
